(7th December 2018)
Our third year, when the Lichfield U3A music groups join together to Busk outside the Marks & Spencer's shop, in the Three Spire's Shopping complex, in Lichfield.
We all awoke with dread to a miserable day of wind and rain. Fortunately about an hour before our first performers set up the rain stopped, sun came out and the wind settled a little. Cold yes, but safe for instruments and performers.
Between 10:30 and 4:00 groups rotated and merged to provide a good range of festive music. Our thanks to members of the groups below as well as friends and family who supported us on the day:
It was great fun seeing everyone singing as they walked around the Shopping area, with many stopping to join in or just sit and listen for a while.
As usual Lichfield shoppers did us proud as we raisied over a £1000 on the day for the St Giles Hospice.
This total combined with the November/December gigs for Don't Fret {U3A guitar group 1] resulted in our handing nearly £2000 to St Giles over the Christmas period.
