(24th September 2017)
Despite predictions earlier in the week of poor weather, we were delighted to have a bright sunny day and large crowds at Huddlesdford's biannual festival.
We'd been invited to peform on the main stage and to busk. We willingly accepted both selecting three busking spots on the main area prior to doing our stint on the main stage.
BUSKING
Alan selected to do some traditional busking tracks including some Lonnie Skiffle. Pete used the new wash board to tap out some rythms. Great fun and good to see spectators joining in despite having to compete with the arena sound system.
Catherine and Sandra seem to be realising they can do solos and duets as they performed Kate Rusby's 'Who Will Sing Me Lullabies' with gentle backing and guitar accompanyment. [View videos here]
MAIN STAGE
As the penultimate act facing an audience who sat bathed in sunshine and having enjoyed the refreshments of the day, we received a great welcome.
Despite a few sound issues things went reasonably well and astonishingly quickly. Great fun and some good memories with Richard back after his op. [view videos here]
Looking forward to 2019.
